Ever wanted to make a puppet but had no clue where to start? Or perhaps you’re a puppeteer looking for something new? Puppetkind is a subscription kit that delivers all the materials you need to make your very own puppet!
BRANDING
Puppetkind’s soft serif type, warm color palette, wavy lines, and linear gradients were chosen to evoke design trends of the 1970s. This is also the era in which puppet shows such as Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, featuring the work of renowned puppeteer Jim Henson, rose to prominence.
PACKAGING SOLUTION
Products showcased are yarn, paper wrapping for fabric, thread, add-on packets, contact cement, and a puppet certificate. The dog puppet was sewn following the YouTube tutorials of Puppet Nerd, run by the late Adam Kreutinger. Photography by Pauline Stevens.
COLLATERAL
The pincushion and pins were 3D modeled using Blender and uses fabric and paper textures from the BlenderKit asset library. The final image was further refined in Photoshop. Background and lighting was made to mimic the styling of the photo shoot to match with the physical products.
APP
Puppetkind’s app is used to manage your subscription, buy materials, keep track of the puppets you create, and more.
